1）water drill. You must give it some water when it is working ,water drill apply in Dig a large core drilling project.the professor suggest that matched it with Hand-hold drill or fixed rig.distinctive in stable，speed and life.
2）dry drill.Do not need water during drilling.dry drill used to apply in water , power, head, gas and air condition pipeline project. hand-hold drill with it when working. distinctive in flexibility, convenience and no water, its special tip could match to normal hammer drill，but its disadvantages are ：low speed，high consume tip and more working to the workers.
3）After you decided the drill .checking the major axis ,electric and Mechanical part is necessary.when you are fixing up the tip ,must be sure major axis is tightness and keep concentric
